What Yoga means to me....

I came to Yoga as a man in his 40's still desperately trying to play football and stay fit. The idea of the Yoga was to help combat my stiffness and lack of flexibility. I attended my first Yoga class - and that was it, I was hooked. I was moving with a fluidity that I'd just not experienced before and there was a feeling of inner-calm that the class and the relaxation at the end of the session gave me. I was soon too old for the football, but the Yoga has stayed wth me and become ever more important.
I've been practising Yoga for around 13 years now and teaching for the last 6. As I entered my 50's and was looking forward to what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, I looked at various options, but the idea of teaching Yoga stayed with me. I wanted to continue to enjoy my Yoga and to share with others the way that Yoga makes me feel. Yoga isn't just for the fit and flexible, anyone can benefit - I'm keen to make it accessible to and enjoyable for everyone. Give it a try - you've nothing to loose and much to gain
